Broken Heartie?

I know all this drama happened years ago, so I am late to the party. I recently watched season 13 after not watching 11 and 12. Then, I thought I should watch 12 to see the beginning of Lucas and Edie. Haven't done it yet. It makes me laugh that Lucas and Elizabeth and then Lucas and Edie have more chemistry than Nathan and Elizabeth.

I admit it. I am a Lucabeth fan. The vibe I get from Nathan and Elizabeth is yawn, boring married couple. Plus, Elizabeth has all her baggage from Jack. I know they want to have the blended family unit, and that is nice. It is the one thing the couple has going for them. Even the show poked fun at itself in the episode where they made the movie. So they know what they did.

Can the show come back from the retcon? Well, in season 13, the powers that be of WCTH finally started to fix some of the damage they had done in the previous seasons. It only took 3 seasons for them to admit they ruined the show. They lost fans. Bad choices were made and it hurt all of us. I say now since Elizabeth and Nathan are engaged, it is time for another retcon. But that would take out the rest of the fanbase.

I am a pretty casual fan, too. Will I watch next season? If not as it airs, probably eventually.

I know the triangle caused a mess and split the fandom. Some nastiness ensued. That in itself, hurt the show.
