Just a Little Talk With Jesus

You know prayer is a powerful tool when even false religions practice prayer. I know life is busy and it can be difficult to spend time with God. However, prayer is vital to get to know God. When we spend time in God's presence, we can find wisdom, peace, direction, encouragement, and joy.

There have been times when I have felt that I do not know how to pray. But really, I just need to have a conversation with God. It is just like conversing with anyone else. We can always be real and honest with God. Also, we should spend time praying in tongues because Holy Spirit will pray for us. Then, we need to wait to hear back from God.

The Bible says that God hears our prayers and He answers them. It also says that we have not because we ask not. We need to ask to get answers. We should also pray according to God's will. It is important to pray the Bible, then. We also need to make sure there is nothing, like unforgiveness, hindering our prayers.

We should not wait until we are in a desperation situation to cry out to God because we can communicate with Him everyday. Yes, of course, we should seek God's help when life is hard, but it should not be the last resort.

The Bible has many, many examples of God answering prayers for people. Daniel is one example. In Daniel 10, we are shown that God answered Daniel's prayer from the start, but there was a delay due to spiritual warfare. We need to keep praying and not give up.

Numbers 6:26May the Lord answer your prayers and give you peace.

James 5:13 Are you having troubles? You should pray.

James 5:16 So always tell each other the wrong things you have done. Then pray for each other. Do this so that God can heal you. Anyone who lives the way God wants can pray, and great things will happen. 17 Elijah was a person just like us. He prayed that it would not rain. And it did not rain on the land for three and a half years! 18 Then Elijah prayed that it would rain. And the rain came down from the sky, and the land grew crops again.
