Live for God
If we live for ourselves, where is the purpose in that? God is to come first. Just like Jesus was about the Father's business, we are to do His business, as well, and establish His kingdom on this earth.
God has a plan and purpose for our lives. God wants to use us to get souls saved. This is an eternal matter. Yet, He chooses to use people. We are to love others and serve them.
Romans 14: 7 For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. 8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
2 Timothy 3:1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
Philippians 1:27 Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.
Philippians 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
