May 3 - The J's

At the beginning of the year, God laid on my heart some J words: joy, justice, Jesus, and then, judgement. I know I needed the joy of the Lord to be strong. God is a God of justice. The Bible says that righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Justice will be served in 2026. Judgement begins at the house of God--which means it starts with my heart and your heart. We need to examine our own lives. The church is not a building or a service; it is the people, the believers. It is my belief that the church needs more of Holy Spirit and less worldliness.
Also, I have been praying for the hearts of parents to go back to their children and from children to parents. And I pray all our hearts are turned back to God first and foremost. As a nation, I pray the USA turns back to God. More of Jesus in 2026. With evil showing itself in the world around us, it is my hope that people are open to the things of God.
I will admit I can do better going to church on regular basis. At the start of year, I set a goal to read my Bible more. I bought a bunch of Bible studies to help me. And it is a struggle to read it on a daily basis. I don't want to be a hypocrite. I am a mere human, too. I have lots of areas in my life that need work. But the cry of my heart is to get closer to God. It is not easy, however, because priorities need to change, and it does takes time and effort.
Joy and justice come from God. They are intertwined. Getting more of Jesus, brings more joy. And we should submit to God, and He takes care of the judgement and justice. I am just putting this out there. I urge you to pray, read the Bible, and ask God to help you discern the truth and grant you wisdom.
