May 4, 2026 - It's all about God's timing
First, I want to apologize for my late post today.
In my Bible study this week, the theme is patience. I do not know what I was expecting, but it surprised me that the study mentioned God's timing. But now, actually, that makes sense. Patience is a fruit of the Spirit that must be developed. Our culture of instant gratification is not conducive to the development of patience, so God has us wait for answered prayers and His promises. Patience takes time. It also takes trust in God.
I am definitely not a patient person. And there are a lot of things I am still waiting on. It does show how patient God is, especially with me. I need the extra time to prepare, to get ready, to develop my character, and to build my relationship with God. I can either take the perspective of getting impatient, discouraged, and angry or I can focus on what God is doing in me and my life and why He is doing it. Patience matters because it helps us get to maturity. Thus, take the time that is needed to be patient.
