Albert Einstein said, "Nothing happens unless something moves." He probably meant this about something scientific, but the words do speak to me, nonetheless. Action is needed. We cannot sit and just wait on our hands and expect change.
James 1:22 says Do what God’s teaching says; don’t just listen and do nothing. When you only sit and listen, you are fooling yourselves (ERV). The Bible shows us that we need to put our faith in action. We need to pray and to obey the Word. Things may seem uncertain, but we can still take baby steps of faith. Even if we are in a waiting time, we can pray, go to church, serve in the church, read the Bible and speak it out, seek God, and prepare ourselves for what is coming.
James 2:26 (ERV) says that faith that does nothing is dead. I John 3:18 (ERV) My children, our love should not be only words and talk. No, our love must be real. We must show our love by the things we do. Love isn't just feelings, but it is really actions.
It is important to be led by Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit enables us to do what we need to do. Philippians 4:13 (ERV) Christ is the one who gives me the strength I need to do whatever I must do. We need to obey God and obey Him quickly.
In the Bible, Paul uses the metaphor of running a race. See I Corinthians 9:24-27 and Philippians 4:13-14. Keep running your race. Don't give up and don't get stuck. As long as you keep moving, things are happening.
