Purpose in Pain

I was struck with the ERV translation of Isaiah 66:9 In the same way, I will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born.” This tells me that there is purpose for our pain. And that at the end of all our suffering, there is a reward--something new. God will do a new thing for us.

We cannot just give up because it hurts. Eventually, the hurt goes away. We have to endure to the end. God is faithful to His promises. He knows what we go through, and there is a reason for it.
