What the World Seems to Know That We Don't

It is nice to see what the FIFA fans are saying about their visit to the United States. I did not realize that games were being hosted in different cities across the country. From what I heard before, I thought the games were to just be in California.

I love seeing the Team USA being patriotic and praying to God. How refreshing is that in this day and age, sad to say. I even saw that a John Denver song about West Virginia was sung in Seattle. I also saw a stadium full of people singing the national anthem, and there was a flyover.

I've seen videos of fans from other countries talk about our food, our stores, and even air conditioning. I never realized that air conditioning would be such a thing to them. Definitely something we take for granted. I do know that our food is bigger and unhealthier than other nations, however. They enjoy it, nonetheless.

I hope they enjoy their time in the United States. I wish I could travel more and experience other places and cultures. There are things we take for granted like our constitution and freedom. We are also rather entitled with the convenience of water, food, air conditioning, and everything really. If we knew what other nations were like, we would be more grateful. At least, I hope so.

There are countries that do not have the freedom of speech, religion, or the right to bear arms like we do have here in the USA. We are truly blessed. And in recent years, we have seen women in the US support Islam even though in a Muslim nation, they would have no rights. It is too bad that they cannot experience those cultures, first hand. They are so ignorant of how the world really is, and yet, they complain about the United States.

Bottom line is everywhere in the world has its own problems. There are conflicts in the world, including wars. But at this time, for a time, we can all come together for soccer. It is the number one sport around the world with millions of fans. It is a good thing. There is too much division and hate. It is a moment the USA can make a positive impact on the world. My prayer is that one day the world will unite for Jesus Christ. But in the meantime, let's celebrate soccer together!
