Work in Progress
When I was a kid, I used to sing the song "He's Still Working on Me." I was a work in progress then and I am still a work in progress now. But thankfully, God is still changing me to be more like Him. How much patience must He have! Because there are times that I am a hot mess.
Philippians 1:6 says I am sure that the good work God began in you will continue until he completes it on the day when Jesus Christ comes again. God never gives up on us. We are never a lost cause. Christ in us is the hope of glory. Ephesians 2:10 states, "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
We are fearfully and wonderfully made. He is the potter. He is intentionally making us into our unique selves bit by bit. He knows how many hairs are on our heads. In fact, He knows us better than we know ourselves. God made us for a purpose. We have to submit to what He is doing in and through us. Our lives are in His hands.
Ephesians 2:10
God has made us what we are. In Christ Jesus, God made us new people so that we would spend our lives doing the good things he had already planned for us to do.
